Where to watch aircraft at BHX

Start with the official viewing area

Birmingham Airport provides a dedicated aircraft viewing area inside Car Park 5. It is open 24 hours, has seating and picnic benches, and gives views across the runway. Parking charges apply if you arrive by car.

For aircraft using Runway 15, Birmingham Airport itself names Sheldon Country Park as an alternative. Birmingham City Council also describes a runway viewing point within the park, reached on foot.

Be a good neighbour. Use legitimate parking, public paths and designated areas. Do not obstruct residential roads, climb airport infrastructure or interfere with airport security. Birmingham Airport specifically asks visitors not to park on residential roads around spotting locations.
